Lizz Helmsen, MAT, combines more than 25 years of fundraising and nonprofit management experience with a background in the arts, education, and community service. She is known as a creative and energetic professional with a proven ability to build relationships with, and create connections among, multiple constituencies.

Lizz works closely with partners, providing counsel in the areas of major and capital campaigns, major gifts, development planning, annual giving, and strategic communications. She is also a BoardSource certified governance consultant, working with organizations to strengthen their governance practices, board development, and organizational culture.

What I enjoy most when working with a partner
Philanthropy is a deeply democratic exercise, and the passion that people bring to a cause they have chosen is inspiring. I’ve been fortunate to travel around the world and see the incredible impact that each person and each organization can make. It is particularly rewarding to bring seemingly disparate groups together to form creative partnerships. And it is a joy to celebrate with an organization that has reached a goal that may once have seemed impossible.
